Hi, I’m Michelle K. Roberts
M.K.R., get it? Currently, I am the sole owner and operator of MKR Design Studios, LLC. I am a Senior Graphic Designer in Portland, OR but work with many clients across the midwest as well, which is where I grew up. Why Wedding Stationery?
After designing and printing all of the stationery for my own wedding in 2018, I discovered it was not just a one-time side project for me. Helping other couples establish and carry out a theme for their weddings through print design is my passion.
I am a professional graphic designer with a B.A. in Graphic Design from Concordia University, St. Paul with over 8 years of agency and freelance design experience (see my personal portfolio here). Why not use that experience to start a business doing what I love?!
Wedding Design Process
First, pick a theme for your wedding by finding plenty of inspiration online. Next, let the stress melt away by having MKR Design Studios carry that theme throughout all of your printed (and digital!) materials. Love greenery? Abstract watercolor? Harry Potter? Michelle will take care of matching everything to that theme from your invitations, wedding website, and signage to a sign for the gift table. SO much to think about, right? MKR Design Studios is here to ask all the right questions and keep everything organized for you.

You fill out the “free estimate” form here or schedule a meeting with MKR via the contact page to talk about your wedding and go over my process. If you live near Portland, Oregon Michelle would love to meet you for coffee and show you some printed samples!
2. Quote
MKR Design Studios will send you a quote based on the answers you gave on the form (or over the phone/in-person). Next, you and your partner decide if you would like to change or remove anything, and once you decide to move forward, Michelle only requires a 25% down-payment and a signed agreement to begin work. This must be done a minimum of 12 weeks prior to your wedding date, but the sooner the better. There are a limited number of couples MKR Design Studios can take at one time.
3. Info
Next, you will receive a Google Form to fill out where you can tell me all about your wedding style and upload photos of your venue, flowers, dresses, etc. This will help determine the style for your invitation. After that, MKR Design Studios will work for 1-2 weeks and send you 3-4 design options to choose from.
4. Choose!
Last, you will need to choose your favorite design from the options. After two rounds of feedback and revisions, MKR Design Studios requires the remainder of your payment to submit your invitations for print. Then, you will receive them at your door within two weeks. All you need to do after that is contact Michelle for the remainder of your print needs so everything matches your beautiful new theme!
